Re: super bowl XLII
Is there anyone else out there who's actually not that excited about the Super Bowl much anymore?
To be honest I don't care who wins this one.
If the Patriots win, sure, they'll be undefeated and all that mumbo jumbo . . but I don't like the Patriots, therefore I could care less.
If the Giants win . . it will be nice seeing them stop the Patriots, but I don't really care, either, because I don't like the Giants and never have.
It's really a lose-lose situation. Actually, it's more like an I don't care-I don't care situation.
I was more excited about UFC81 than the upcoming Super Bowl, if that tells you anything.
I hope I'm not alone here.

Re: super bowl XLII
I would be real excited if the Cowboys were playing, but I have the same apathy toward it as you do, I guess. I'll record the game for posterity - I like to go back and watch and analize the games. I'm just pulling for the Giants because of Eli, and the fact the Pats were caught cheating yet were only slapped on the wrist over it.

Re: super bowl XLII
I'll be pulling for the Pat's tonight but because I don't have an allegance to either team. if it gets close to the end and the Giants have the ball going for the win it would be hard to pull against a huge upset. But overall I'm an AFC guy and there have been very few times I've pulled for a NFC team to win the Super Bowl. The 2 I can think of right off have Tampa and Green Bay when Bret won his ring.

Losing a 1st round pick isnt a slap on the wrist, its unprecidented really.

Re: super bowl XLII
The only AFC teams I have rooted for to win it all were the teams that played the Redskins. Those, and of course Peyton's Colts last year. I'll root for any team from the NFC, with the exception of the Skins.

It is when they have the # 6 or so pick from a trade. If you're going to take their first round pick, you actually take their first round picks. Meaning, they don't pick in the damned first round. Losing that #31 or 32 pick is big, not having a pick in the first round would have been more fitting.

Re: super bowl XLII
I think its a pretty interesting Super Bowl, The Pats are trying to go undefeated, Brady can launch himself into top 5 legitimate QB of all time, he can get his 4th Super Bowl, Moss is looking to capture a Title instead of "what could have been player of all time", Eli is trying to break away from Peytons shadow, The Giants are being talked as the worst team ever to be in a superbowl, they are playing the David role as so it seems, its in the middle of the NFL's Spygate controvery, Id say there are many plot lines involved in the game. I am not a Pats or Giants fan, Ima Moss and Shockey fan..
I heard they are having a spiral throwin contest at halftime if you wanna tune in..

If you really wanted to be funny, you could have told me that during a game where it would have been a possibility and not a game in which everyone knows there's always an elaborate "halftime" show featuring a big-name band. Nice try, though. I guess.

Re: super bowl XLII
New York has been playing good ball the past few weeks. Lets see if they can finish it. Don't care anything for either NY and especially NE. It may be interesting tonight.

Re: super bowl XLII
I wish Dragonforce and In Flames was the halftime show..
Pats=5 td's
Giants= 3 td's
thats my prediction for the game by the way...
